Biography
Hugo Rodríguez and César López established the Mexican band Azúl Violeta in Guadalajara, Jalisco, during 1988. These Latin rockers fused funk and soul elements, ultimately persuading EMI to offer a contract in 1994. The label then issued America, an album recorded in England under the guidance of producer Richard Blair. A tour spanning Latin America and the United States helped promote the release. Azúl Violeta constructed a makeshift studio inside an abandoned theatre in Jalisco during 1996 to complete their next project. Globoscopio emerged as the finished recording and received live performances throughout Mexico. César López exited the group in May 1998. The remaining members later issued Mini Multi.
