Australia's Between You & Me fuse early-2000s pop-punk drive with anthemic modern-rock polish. Drawing from New Found Glory and Sum-41, the Melbourne outfit first drew broad notice via their 2018 Hopeless Records debut Everything Is Temporary. Retaining their exuberant punk foundation, the group has since refined its melodic hooks while venturing into wider pop and rock territory, evident on Armageddon and the 2023 single "Nevermind."

Formed in 2015 after guitarist Chris Bowerman and drummer brother Jamey came across vocalist Jake Wilson's online channel and admired his cover recordings, the lineup was completed by guitarist Jai Gibson and bassist James Karagiozis, both formerly of Sidelines. Taking cues from Blink-182 and New Found Glory, Between You & Me issued their first single, "Cavalier," in April 2016. They quickly built a strong live following through repeated tours alongside With Confidence, As It Is, and Trash Boat, and closed the year with the Paper Thin EP.

The band's profile prompted interest from Hopeless Records, already home to New Found Glory and Sum-41, leading to a 2017 signing. Everything Is Temporary followed in 2018, propelled by the upbeat tracks "Overthinking" and "Dakota," which in turn opened doors to further touring. Early 2020 found the members already tracking a sophomore album while performing across North America, only for the COVID-19 outbreak to strand them in Canada and force a frantic return to Australia ahead of border closures. They completed Armageddon upon arrival, releasing it on Hopeless Records in November 2021; the record broadened their punk base with alt-rock and power-pop elements. The summery, California-inspired standalone single "Nevermind" appeared in March 2023.
