Biography
Makeout! originated in Providence, Rhode Island, where the group specializes in high-energy party pop-punk engineered to reach listeners at the farthest edges of any venue. Previously operating as Trophy Wives, the lineup of singer/guitarist Sam Boxold, guitarist Tyler Young, bassist Alex Lofton, and drummer Scott Eckel secured a production agreement with John Feldmann (blink-182, Good Charlotte) ahead of adopting the Makeout! name. Throughout 2016 the musicians tracked their debut album under Feldmann while using the producer’s industry ties to perform live dates alongside their heroes blink-182. After signing to Rise Records, the band issued The Good Life in September 2017.
