Blackburner

Blackburner emerged as an electro-EDM project headquartered in Los Angeles, California, created by producer and musician Skyla Talon. Talon established the modern metal group Killingbird after relocating to the East Coast from his birthplace in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He became a member of the industrial metal ensemble Scum of the Earth in 2005, a band led by Riggs, the ex-guitarist from Rob Zombie. Drawing influence from the dubstep approaches of Skrillex and Deadmau5, Talon issued his own tracks under the Blackburner moniker through Hypnotic Records, an imprint of Cleopatra. Around 2011, his intense fusion of rock, industrial, dubstep, and glitch surfaced on various label compilations, after which the endeavor produced the albums Feel the Burn (2012), Planet Earth Attack (2012), Drop Bass Not Bombs (2013), From Dusk to Dub (2014), and Dog Eats Rabbit (2017).
