Bodega Bamz

Emerging from the streets of East Harlem in Upper Manhattan—also known as Spanish Harlem—hardcore rapper Bodega Bamz, backed by his brother Ohla who served as both engineer and manager, carved out recognition within New York’s underground rap circuit during the early 2010s. Nathaniel DeLaRosa, his given name, drew widespread notice in 2012 via the mixtape Strictly 4 My P.A.P.I.Z., featuring appearances by A$AP Ferg, Flatbush Zombies, Joell Ortiz, and numerous additional contributors. As a central figure in the all-Latino Tanboys crew, he subsequently teamed with the Martinez Brothers on the taut, cinematic Sunday Service. Entirely produced by V. Don, the album Sidewalk Exec arrived in 2015.
