Biography
Starting in the early 1990s in Orlando, FL, Chris Fortier launched his DJ career under the influence of fellow DJs Dave Canalte and Kimball Collins. By the mid-'90s he had formed a partnership at the label Fade while sustaining his regular DJ work. Before long, he founded Balance Promotions together with partner Jimmy Van Malleghem. Fortier’s DJ schedule has since carried him across Europe for collaborations with John Digweed and has also taken him to Mexico, Holland, Greece, Hong Kong, and Buenos Aires. His mix albums include 1988's Atmospherics, V. 1.0: The Breaks, 2000's Trance America, 2002's Bedrock and 2005's Balance 007.
