Chxpo

Chxpo, the Cleveland-based rapper, joined forces with SpaceGhost Purrp in 2016 to establish the Black Money Boys collective. This group united various rappers and producers, including Baby Gucci, Loko Los, Taco El, and Evil Haze, among numerous additional members. They built their alliance around a distinctive style of production featuring raw and menacing trap instrumentals. Rapidly gaining recognition, Chxpo earned a reputation for his extraordinarily high productivity and his habit of sparking disputes with fellow artists. Between 2016 and 2017, he put out over 20 mixtapes along with numerous individual tracks. One notable release was the contentious "Cookin' Yams," which served as a fierce attack on A$AP Yams and Playboi Carti. Additionally, he engaged in a hostile online feud on Twitter with Talib Kweli. Exchanges with the veteran MC began with somewhat civil conversation but eventually devolved into name-calling and menacing remarks. Among the standouts in Chxpo's vast catalog of releases were the creatively compelling 2017 mixtapes Born Bloody and Emo Savage. Slug Christ and Lil Peep contributed appearances to Emo Savage, marking one of the latter's final studio efforts prior to his passing.
