Colonel Loud

MC Colonel Loud, a self-described travelin' man, entered the world in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and initiated his professional path in Goldsboro, North Carolina before achieving his breakthrough in 2015 with the single "California." He started out issuing a run of solo mixtapes until mixtape host DJ Izzo signed him. During 2014 he dropped the "Celebrate" single that included Lil Scrappy and Chris Mills, while Pastor Troy and Project Pat guested on the same year's mixtape Old Money, New Money. Twelve months afterward the travelog track "California" rose on the charts, carrying verses from Young Dolph and Ricco Barrino plus a T.I. remix. Plug Talk, another mixtape, arrived in 2015 as well, and 2016 brought the "No Ratchets" single again featuring Ricco Barrino; The California EP later collected every remix of that song. He next appeared alongside T. Neal on the 2016 single "Come to the Money."
