Young Greatness

Theodore Jones came into the world in New Orleans, Louisiana, under the stage name Young Greatness that captured his confident persona. After Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Big Easy, he shifted to Houston, Texas, where the young MC adjusted with little friction. Bun B and Mike Jones, among the city’s prominent voices, soon began championing him, which paved the way for a 2015 affiliation with Quality Control and the drop of the mixtape I Tried to Tell Em. That project introduced the single “Yeah” featuring Quavo. In May 2016 a remix of one cut, “Moolah,” surfaced with added contributions from Lil Wayne and Yo Gotti. Later the same year I Tried to Tell Em 2 appeared and spotlighted the track “Ball.” Young Greatness resurfaced in 2017 via the mixtape Bloody Summer.
