Zoey Dollaz

Born Elvis Millord in Miami, Florida, in 1990, Zoey Dollaz grew up Haitian-American and spent part of his childhood shifting between locations, including an extended stay in Haiti before resettling in Miami during the 2010s. He began rapping young, issuing his debut mixtape in 2012 and then circulating additional singles online that steadily raised his visibility. The 2015 release “Blow a Check” marked his breakthrough, its heavy rotation on radio drawing interest from multiple labels eager to secure the emerging MC. Dollaz waited until Future extended an invitation to join the roster of the veteran’s Epic Records imprint Freebandz. His initial projects under that banner were the 2016 mixtapes Port-Au-Prince and October, followed in summer 2017 by Nobody’s Safe and the EP M’ap Boule, the latter including appearances by Future and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. The 2018 mixtape Sorry Not Sorry paid tribute to Miami’s underground scene.
