Biography
First Floor Power came together in Malmö, Sweden, during 1997. Over the next several years the group appeared at multiple festivals, among them the independent showcase Emmaboda. After featuring on several compilations, the band issued its debut EP, We Are the People, through Silence in 2000; Jonas Jonasson of Bob Hund handled production. The lineup at that point consisted of Winqvist on keyboards and vocals, Lager on drums, Sara Wilson on bass and vocals, and her sister Jenny Wilson on guitar and vocals. In 2001 the full-length album There Is Hope arrived, and the track “Scissors, Bag & a Stone” received modest radio airplay.
