French Affair

Barbara Alcindor, recording as French Affair, fuses French pop with present-day dance grooves and has earned recognition throughout Europe. Although she entered the world in Paris, Alcindor resides in London, England, and launched her professional life as a fashion model before turning toward dance music. A deal with BMG paired her with the Dreyer Brothers production team, resulting in two major 2000 singles—“My Heart Goes Boom (La Di Da Da)” and “Do What You Want”—that reached the charts in France, the U.K., Italy, and Germany. The following year brought French Affair’s first full-length album, Desire.
