Philadelphia-based singer and rapper Francis Leblanc, who records as Fridayy, weaves his religious upbringing throughout his work. Feature spots and songwriting contributions piled up for him through the first years of the 2020s before his self-titled debut album appeared in 2023 and introduced the breakout single “When It Comes to You.” Further singles arrived afterward, among them 2024’s “Baddest in the Room.”

A pastor father regularly placed Leblanc in the church band, so that by age six the future artist had already mastered piano, bass, and guitar. A few early recordings surfaced in 2014, yet commercial traction arrived only after he signed with Def Jam in the early 2020s. His profile rose steadily in 2022 via production credits on Chris Brown’s Breezy and DJ Khaled’s God Did, a featured turn with Lil Baby on “Forever,” and the debut EP Lost in Melody. The self-titled project Fridayy landed in 2023, spawning the platinum-certified single “When It Comes to You” that reached Billboard’s Hot 100. Fridayy stayed active throughout 2024, linking with artists from Chainsmokers to A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and issuing his own tracks such as “Without You” and “Baddest in the Room.”
