German five-piece Ghøstkid fuse metalcore with industrial goth rock while threading electronica and alternative rock into the blend. The self-titled Ghøstkid marked their arrival in 2020, and Hollywood Suicide followed in 2024.

Frontman Sebastian Biesler launched the project after leaving Electric Callboy, the band he had led for roughly a decade. Seeking heavier terrain partly shaped by Marilyn Manson and Bring Me the Horizon, he recruited guitarists Jan Marco Heinz and Danny Güldener, bassist Stanislav Czywill, and drummer Joakim Stephan Möller. Working with producer Phil Sunday, whose résumé includes Fred Durst and Royal Republic, the group merged metalcore’s abrasive force with anthemic choruses and cinematic drops; Century Media issued the album at the close of 2020. Extensive European touring filled the next two years. After parting ways with Güldener, the band welcomed guitarist Christian Kisseler. In 2023 they tracked their second album with Sky van Hoff, known for his work with Rammstein and Kreator. Hollywood Suicide surfaced in early 2024, its atmosphere noticeably more taut, and subsequent dates found them crossing Europe with Blind Channel before making their initial U.S. appearances in support of Black Veil Brides.
