Biography
Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, the Lovecraftian thrash, death, and horror-metal outfit known as Green Death came together in 2012 thanks to the efforts of guitarist Mark Reinking, vocalist Sol Bales, drummer Ryan Berrier, and bassist Parker Willis. Emerging from the remnants of previous projects called W.A.D. and ONLY, the group put out two acclaimed EPs titled Dawn of Death and Death Monks prior to delivering their first full-length effort, The Deathening, during 2013. Subsequent coverage in Decibel Magazine along with numerous live performances ensued, including appearances alongside kindred spirits in chaos such as Trivium, Suicidal Tendencies, Napalm Death, Black Dahlia Murder, and Five Finger Death Punch. Manufacturing Evil arrived as their second album in 2015, followed by a 2017 agreement with EMP, the label founded by Megadeth's David Ellefson, which saw the issuance of their eagerly awaited next record, Pure Torture.
