Justin Hariz entered the world in 1997 and spent his formative years in Los Angeles absorbing a wide range of musical influences. Piano instruction began at age four, and by middle school he had progressed to composing original material. High school brought performances at open-mike nights and comparable venues, where he refined his developing sound. The 2016 ASCAP Harold Adamson Lyric Award in Pop Music provided early validation, prompting him to share music online under his surname alone. The following year he issued “OVRBRD,” which accumulated notable traction on streaming platforms. In 2020 HARIZ resurfaced with the track “I Got You.”
