England's Ignominious Incarceration produce technically demanding death metal that demands both stamina and endurance from listeners. The young roster of vocalist Andy Wardle, guitarists Steve Brown and Danny Guy, bassist Chris Ball, and drummer Sam Bailey moved rapidly past scale practice to write the songs for their 2008 EP Deeds of Days Long Gone. Earache Records signed the band soon afterward, resulting in the early-2009 release of their debut full-length Of Winter Born, which received praise for instrumental skill alongside criticism for evident borrowings from Cryptopsy, Kataklysm, and Sylosis. Guitarist Danny Guy left the group shortly after the album appeared.
