Biography
Denmark’s Emilie Mølsted, who records as JADA, works as an electronic-pop producer and vocalist whose signature style is marked by a chilled, atmospheric texture. Public notice first arrived when she released the single “Sure” in 2017.
She entered the world in København, Denmark, in 1993 and grew up inside a household steeped in the arts, where her mother—the folksinger, actress, and storyteller Tippe Mølsted—first guided her toward music. Throughout childhood she appeared onstage with both her mother and her sisters, frequently collaborating with the cross-cultural multidisciplinary theater ensemble known as the Bridge of Winds (Vindenes Bro). Over time an affinity for electronic production took hold, leading her to issue “Sure,” her debut single under the JADA moniker, in 2017; the follow-up track “Keep Cool” appeared the next year.
