As a commanding singer whose dynamic presence defines contemporary club sounds, Kaleena Zanders channels the legacy of dance divas such as Ultra Naté and Robin S. through uplifting tracks infused with gospel intensity and messages attuned to social awareness, seeking to restore electronic dance music to its origins in Black and queer communities. Emerging in the early 2010s, she contributed vocals to multiple club successes across that decade and beyond, among them recordings by Loud Luxury, Breathe Carolina, Moon Boots, and Morgan Page. During 2023 she issued the EPs Patchwork, which contained the Billboard dance chart-topper “V I B R A T I O N,” and Rumble in the Disco, while also advancing singles such as the 2024 release “Looking for Joy” alongside partnerships with Solardo and House Gospel Choir.

Based in Los Angeles, Kaleena Zanders launched dance-pop material and joint projects with Brenmar and P-Money near the start of the 2010s. Her vocal turns on SNBRN’s “California” and Loud Luxury’s “All for You,” both surfacing around 2015, marked early club breakthroughs. Subsequent work paired her with an array of house, garage, and future bass producers including Madeaux, Shigeto, AC Slater, and Morgan Page. In 2017 Spinnin’ Records put out a widely circulated cover of Snap!’s “Rhythm Is Dancer” that featured her alongside Breathe Carolina and Dropgun. The piano edit of her empowering single “Stronger Than I’ve Ever Been” reached audiences during Super Bowl LII and the 2018 Winter Olympics. A 2018 rendition of La Bouche’s “Sweet Dreams,” again recorded with Breathe Carolina and Dropgun, preceded further collaborations with Sammy Bananas, Moon Boots, J. Worra, and others. Solo releases “Reload” and “Thank You Mariah” arrived in 2020, followed in 2021 by “Set Me Off,” the Ray Garrison duet “Remedy,” and the LP Giobbi track “Carry Us.”

Kaleena Zanders presented the solo ballad “We’ll Stand Together” in 2022, together with the club cuts “Me Without U” featuring Party Pupils and “Break the Rules” with Andrew Bayer. The 2023 Shift K3Y collaboration “V I B R A T I O N” reached the top of Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart and appeared on Patchwork, while the Anabel Englund duet “Anything 4 U” also registered on dance charts. Additional 2023 activity encompassed the Sunday Scaries single “Dance No More” and the year’s second EP, Rumble in the Disco. In 2024 she joined Tchami and Malaa for “Giving Me Life,” House Gospel Choir for “Save Me,” and Solardo for “Testify,” while issuing the solo single “Looking for Joy.”
