LP Giobbi works as a house music producer and DJ while also advancing gender equality causes and building business ventures. Her sound centers on exuberant piano lines paired with vocals that draw from soul and gospel traditions. She established the nonprofit FEMME HOUSE to provide music education and shares ownership of the label and artist collective Animal Talk with her close friends in the dance-pop duo Sofi Tukker. Since her debut in 2018 she has appeared at Coachella, Moogfest, and Burning Man, issued dozens of singles and remixes, and seen tracks such as the 2021 releases “Carry Us” and “24” accumulate millions of streams. Following the 2021 launch of her weekly program on Diplo’s online station, FEMME HOUSE issued its debut compilation and conducted a tour in 2022. Her first album, the 2023 collection Light Places issued on Counter Records, comprises uplifting dance pieces developed through improvisation, while the 2024 follow-up Dotr explores themes of family, love, and loss.

Born in Oregon, she began piano lessons in childhood and later earned a degree in Jazz Piano Performance from UC Berkeley. Her parents’ devotion to the Grateful Dead led her to wear vintage band shirts onstage and to describe her performances as those of a one-woman jam band. Her debut single, “Amber Rose” with hermixalot and Computo, came out in 2018 as the inaugural release on Animal Talk, the label, artist collective, and publishing company she launched alongside Sofi Tukker. Subsequent singles included “Perfect Fire” and “Dejala Pasar,” along with joint projects involving TT the Artist, Little Boots, and additional artists.

At the 2019 Moogfest, Giobbi and hermixalot, whose real name is Lauren A. Spalding, introduced FEMME HOUSE, which delivers online production and DJ instruction for women, trans, and non-binary creators. The organization’s weekly program on Diplo’s Revolution streaming channel began in early 2021, and Giobbi’s single “Say a Little Prayer” featuring Amazonian Rockstar appeared later that year on Diplo’s Higher Ground imprint. Additional widely streamed 2021 tracks encompassed “Carry Us” with Kaleena Zanders, “24” with Born Dirty, and “O Retha” with Crush Club. Insomniac Records put out the first FEMME HOUSE compilation in 2022, which contained Giobbi and hermixalot’s track “Togetherness” and coincided with the FEMME HOUSE Takeover Tour that combined daytime workshops with evening club performances.

She reworked Portugal. The Man’s song “What, Me Worry?” After signing with Counter Records she released singles such as “All in a Dream” with DJ Tennis and Joseph Ashworth and “Forever and a Day” with Caroline Byrne, while “Sinner” with Bklava came out on D4 D4NCE. She also joined Pete Tong, Ultra Naté, and Jules Buckley for a new version of Naté’s club classic “Free,” issued by Ministry of Sound. In 2023 she delivered Garcia (Remixed), a complete reinterpretation of Jerry Garcia’s debut solo album. Light Places, her first full-length for Counter Records, gathers earlier label singles plus new material featuring guests including Sofi Tukker and Little Jet. After the album she issued a remix collection, a deluxe edition, and the singles “Giodisco” on Defected and “Time Expands” on Yes Yes Yes. She further remixed Taylor Swift’s hit “Cruel Summer” and collaborated with Redfield and DJ Rae on “Waiting.”

In 2024 she released the single “Howl” with Le Chev and the second FEMME HOUSE compilation. Her sophomore album Dotr featured contributions from Alabama Shakes, Portugal. The Man, Jacob Banks, Danielle Ponder, and additional artists.
