Kathy Brown

Hailing from South Carolina, dance music diva Kathy Brown launched her vocal journey in the Gospel choir of her local neighborhood. Membership in the contemporary r&b outfit Sweet Cinnamon later connected the newcomer with a New York-based label producer, whose audition yielded her debut release, the 1993 single "Can't Play Around." The well-received "Joy," cut with David Morales, and "Happy People" arrived in 1999. She also supplied vocals for Praxis' chart-topping single "Turn Me Out (Turn to Sugar)." In August 2002 her track "You Give Good Love" rose into the top 10 of the UK 40 dance music singles chart.
