Bicoastal rapper Klondike Blonde presents cheeky, confrontational lyrics through a playful sing-song delivery. She entered the scene in 2017 and achieved a viral hit the next year via the single “Drip” together with its accompanying dance challenge.

Born in Raleigh, North Carolina and raised in California’s Bay Area—where she completed both middle and high school—she studied sound engineering through a specialized course and used free periods to record in the school studio. Following graduation she moved back to the East Coast, settling in Atlanta to focus on music professionally. There she began issuing material online, starting with a February 2017 single that introduced her as Klondike Blonde. Subsequent tracks “Big Gang Glocks” and “Love Letter” expanded her grassroots following. Only with 2018’s “Drip” did she reach a substantially broader listenership; Michigan rap/dance duo Ayo & Teo embraced the song and launched its viral dance challenge. Fresh momentum led her to sign with L.A. Reid’s Hitco label, after which she closed her breakthrough year by releasing the singles “Klondike” and “No Smoke.”
