Kylie Frey

Kylie Frey delivers her vocals with a potent country twang while remaining devoted to classic styles in the genre. Her initial major opportunity came in 2018 through her role as Shania Twain's protégé during the debut season of USA Network's Real Country. Capitalizing on that visibility, she transitioned into the Red Dirt country scene across Texas, where she notched regional successes including the 2018 track "Ain't Enough Beer," the 2019 release "One Night in Tulsa," the 2021 collaboration "Horses in Heaven" with Randy Houser, a 2022 take on Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," and "Red Dirt Cinderella" in 2023.

Born March 3, 1995, in Opelousas, Louisiana, Frey began performing publicly at age five and soon appeared on the rodeo circuit by singing "The Star Spangled Banner" to open events. During her teenage years she was named Louisiana High School Rodeo Queen, and it was while participating in those rodeos that she first took up songwriting.

She entered the professional sphere in her early twenties by issuing the self-released mini-LP Cinderella Dreams in 2014. Subsequent independent singles arrived with 2015's "The Chase" and 2016's "Me and These Boots," after which "Rodeo Man" achieved traction on local Texas radio. Relocating to Nashville to pursue broader opportunities in country music, she issued her first post-move single in 2017: the duet "Too Bad" with Randy Rogers.

Frey secured a spot on the 2018 USA Network competition series Real Country, joining the team led by her idol Shania Twain and gaining wider recognition in country circles through her performances. That same year she put out "Ain't Enough Beer," which was followed by "One Night in Tulsa" in 2019. The rodeo-inspired "Spur of the Moment" appeared in 2020 and paved the way for the EP Rodeo Queen. Randy Houser joined her on the 2021 single "Horses in Heaven," while Bri Bagwell featured on the 2022 country version of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"; that year also saw her contribution to Tyler Halverson's "Your Bar Now."
