Lukas Hilbert cultivated a sensitive alt-rock style that echoed Patrick Nuo and Train, placing him repeatedly on the German Top 20 during the first years of the 2000s through tracks such as “Was Ich An Dir Mag” and “Kommt Meine Liebe Nicht Bei Dir An.” His achievements in front of the microphone were matched by accomplishments behind the scenes, where he supplied numerous Top Ten hits across the late 1990s and early 2000s, among them “Du Mußt ein Schwein Sein,” which Die Prinzen recorded in 1995, and “Fur Dich,” which Yvonne Catterfeld released in 2003. Visibility remained strong for Hilbert in those same years, as he served on the judging panel of Popstars and entered the Bundesvision Song Contest. Momentum held into 2006, when the single “Ganze Welt” climbed to number three on the German charts.
