Mario Bautista

Hailing from Mexico City, where he first entered the world in 1996, Mario Bautista delivers pop vocals shaped by luminous dance grooves and R&B textures. His childhood unfolded inside a household devoted to music as the child of Gloria Gil, singer with Hermanas Gil, and as cousin to pop artist Fey. Throughout his teenage years he maintained a balance between daytime high-school coursework and evening instruction in dance and voice. Only after finishing college did he begin documenting his experiences across multiple social-media channels by uploading clips of himself singing, rapping, and dancing. Those posts rapidly attracted a sizable following and led him to team with producers on independent solo work. In 2016 he issued his first full-length album, Aquí Estoy, which contained the single "Ven a Bailar."
