Hailing from Texas, singer/songwriter Miguel Hernández crafts a refined Latin style that blends tejano, ranchera, and cumbia into an energetic, dance-oriented sound. His origins trace back to Detroit, Michigan, where he picked up the guitar during his teenage years. Following collaborations onstage with the likes of Jimmy Gonzales, Patsy Torres, and Stefani Montiel, he issued his debut record under his own name in 2004. The follow-up, Despues de Mucho, arrived two years later, after which he stepped into supporting roles alongside musicians such as Ricardo Castillón and Jay Perez for an extended period. Hernández reemerged prominently in 2010 via his third album, Life in Lyric.
