Biography
In the closing years of the 1990s the Belgian rock group Mintzkov Luna assembled in Lier, its lineup anchored by vocalist Philip Bosschaerts alongside guitarist Daan Scheltjens, bassist Lies Lorquet, keyboardist Pascal Oorts, and drummer Minchul Van Steenkiste. Recognition arrived when the band captured first place at the Humo's Rock Rally Contest in 2000. After unveiling the debut album M for Means and L for Love in 2003, the ensemble trimmed its name to Mintzkov and delivered the follow-up 360°. Work with producer Jagz Kooner, whose credits include Primal Scream and the Kills, produced the band's most successful effort to date, 2010's Rising Sun, Setting Sun.
