Mitch signed to YG's 4Hunnid imprint and stepped forward in the closing years of the 2010s as a producer who had shifted into singing and songwriting, presenting a flexible fusion of seductive R&B and rap.

Early on he supplied beats for the West Coast rapper, scoring initial recognition with productions on tracks such as "One Time Comin" and "IDGAF." The melodic hooks he sketched over YG's rough demos ultimately drew the rapper's notice, prompting him to steer the emerging talent toward developing his own vocal abilities. Mitch first lent his voice to the chorus of the 2016 cut "I Know," then moved ahead with solo material that included the 2018 release "Jersey." His initial full-length effort, the 2018 mixtape Space, carried two guest spots from YG and delivered a broad survey of his sexually charged R&B textures. The following year he issued the seven-song EP Girl Power, which featured Too $hort, DaniLeigh, and Arin Ray. In 2020 he resurfaced with the sophomore tape Better for You, a project that leaned further into trap textures while showcasing contributions from Ty Dolla $ign, Yung Pinch, and several others.
