Otis Kemp

Otis Kemp blends the roles of singer, songwriter, producer, and community leader through a signature mix of modern gospel and the hip-hop sounds native to South Florida. His first single, the faith-driven “The Reason” issued in 2021, and the 2022 follow-up “Daily Bread” both climbed high on Billboard’s gospel rankings. Two years after the latter track he issued his confident first album, Meet Me in Miami.

Raised in Carol City, Kemp navigated a difficult start that included expulsion from several schools. He redirected his path toward faith and music, drawing on admiration for John P. Kee, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Winans, Goodie Mob, and Organized Noize. This foundation led him to a position at the Miami label Poe Boy Entertainment, where he worked alongside Rick Ross and Flo Rida. The 2021 release of “The Reason” earned strong notice inside gospel circles, and he extended that momentum with “Daily Bread” plus “Everything,” the last of which featured on his number-one debut album Meet Me in Miami, which arrived in 2024. Outside recording, Kemp runs three Appleseeds performing-arts academies across South Florida that furnish training and guidance for at-risk young people.
