Born in 1972 in Rheda Wiedenbrück, Germany, Ingo Pohlmann has built a career as a singer and songwriter. Chart performance greeted his first album and continued with the 2007 release Fliegende Fische, whose English title is Flying Fish and which climbed into the Top 40. He refers to his sound as “root-pop” and cites Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper, and Tom Waits as key influences.
