Toronto-based pop artist Rêve launched her assault on the Canadian charts in late 2021 via the Banx & Ranx-produced “CTRL + ALT + DEL,” an infectious futuristic single that cleared the path for subsequent 2022 offerings such as “Tongue” and “Whitney.” That breakout track later earned her a Juno Award in 2023.

Montreal-born Briannah Donolo started singing and playing piano in childhood while harboring ambitions of a professional music career. Her initial brush with recognition arrived in November 2014 when she delivered a pop-infused rendition of the Canadian and American national anthems during a Montreal Canadiens hockey game; footage of the moment spread rapidly online, yet several additional years passed before she secured an entry point into the industry. After relocating to Toronto, the bilingual Donolo adopted the stage name Rêve—“dream” in French—and began posting her playful Europop-influenced material on social platforms, steadily cultivating an audience across multiple networks.

She ultimately secured a joint recording agreement with Universal Music Canada, Astralwerks, and 31 East—the last of which is operated by the high-profile production duo Banx & Ranx—who produced and co-wrote her debut single, 2021’s “Still Dancing.” Months afterward, the bouncy, hook-laden “CTRL + ALT + DEL” climbed to number 38 on the Canadian Hot 100 and formally ignited Rêve’s trajectory. A further Banx & Ranx partnership, “Headphones,” registered additional chart traction in 2022 prior to releases that included the Jonasu collaboration “All Night & Every Day” and the solo cut “Tongue.” In October of that same year she notched another hit with “Whitney,” a Chaka Khan-referencing track shaped by her creative heroes. Early in 2023 “CTRL + ALT + DEL” captured the Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year.
