Emerging first through spontaneous reinterpretations of tracks by Cardi B and 21 Savage, Renni Rucci soon forged a bold, self-assured identity marked by sharp attitude. Her quick placement within the Quality Control roster produced the May 2019 debut mixtape Big Renni, a relentless showcase of sensuality, wealth, and defiance.

Courtney Rene entered the world in South Carolina in 1991 and initially built an audience through modeling and digital influence. Multiple Instagram profiles she maintained beforehand each drew hundreds of thousands of followers. In 2017 she ventured into music by posting vibrant remixes of Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," 21 Savage's "Bank Account," Moneybagg Yo's "Trending," and Kodak Black's "Roll in Peace." These versions established her as a rapper and prompted a shift to original material. Early the following year she unveiled the single "Mirror Mirror," whose iron-clad flows, paired with the earlier remixes, drew the interest of Migos' label Quality Control. The company placed her on its Wolf Pack Global Music imprint, which issued the ten-song mixtape Big Renni in May 2019. Its standout cut, "F*ck Em Up Sis," rapidly exceeded one million streams.
