Philly-based rapper SimxSantana first rose to prominence through his 2019 viral hit Flexin n' Flashin, which preceded the arrival of his debut EP, Trenches 2 Riches, in 2020.
Raised in Philadelphia from birth, the young artist balanced an early love of both music and basketball before committing fully to a recording career and setting aside his NBA aspirations. Drawing from Meek Mill and Tory Lanez, he developed a bass-heavy fusion of trap and hip-hop that gained traction upon the 2019 arrival of Flexin n' Flashin. Once that track went viral, he followed with several additional singles throughout the ensuing year, among them Huntin, Get Groovy, and Pick Ya Man Up. In 2020 he issued Trenches 2 Riches, an EP that featured guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk, and Stunna 4 Vegas.
