Co Cash

Born in 1995, Co Cash developed an early fascination with the Memphis rap sound of Three 6 Mafia while still in grade school. By the early 2010s the Memphis-born, Atlanta-based artist had begun issuing his own recordings, issuing his first mixtape, Boss Status, in 2013 with production contributions from Tay Keith. Continued work with the producer yielded the 2018 single “Cash Day” and the Foolhardy mixtape, both of which helped expand his reputation. Keith’s involvement persisted on the 2019 Interscope debut F.A.C.T.S., which also included appearances from BlocBoy JB and Lil Yachty. That same year Co Cash joined Yo Gotti for select tour dates, and in 2020 he issued the independent tracks “Social Distance,” “Take 3,” and “Difference,” the last featuring Moneybagg Yo. Relocating to Atlanta, he headed to Los Angeles later that year to record the 2021 project HIM, Not Them, recruiting production from Tay Keith alongside Bizness Boi and Payday, the latter known for his work with Bad Bunny. Co Cash’s rapid-fire flow shifts, intricate wordplay, and distinctive cadence had already defined his earliest material, yet the confidence and presence on display reached new intensity across the Interscope release.
