Sophie Powers

Canadian hyperpop newcomer Sophie Powers fuses yearning vocals, kinetic dance grooves, and blown-out emo guitar riffs into a maximalist signature sound all her own. After launching her career with the 2022 EP Red in Revenge, she drew broader attention in 2024 through pointedly titled singles such as "Woah!" and the Baby Tate collaboration "Awesome."

Powers, born in Toronto in 2004, started singing while still young and began composing original material in her early teens. With parental support she transitioned to online schooling, then relocated to Los Angeles to focus on music. Her 2022 debut EP Red in Revenge showcased the dynamic hyperpop palette she has since refined, most recently through tracks including 2023’s "Nosebleed" and the 2024 releases "Woah!" (featuring kets4eki), "PLAYBOi," and "Awesome" (featuring Baby Tate).
