Tex Tex

Forming as a Mexican trio, Tex Tex entered the Latin rock arena in 1986. Their initial independent outing, the album Un Toque Mágico, surfaced in 1989, with Perdidos and Tex Tex 3 both appearing three years later. By fusing rock with the rhythms of Cuban son, Jamaican ska, and Mexican corrido, the group caught the ear of BMG. The label signed them in 1994 and released Te Vas A Acordar de Mi along with Súbete al Tren. Tex Tex nevertheless reclaimed independence shortly afterward by self-producing Acción y Reacción.
