Zurdok

Zurdok, the Mexican band merging alternative pop and rock, originated in 1994 once longtime friends Jorge Saenz and David Izquierdo established their joint venture under the name Movimiento Zurdok. Relocation to Mexico City followed, and triumph in the 1995 La Batalla de las Bandas competition secured a deal with Discos Manicomio that yielded the September 1997 release of debut album Antena, whose single "Tropecé" delivered the group’s first chart appearance. In 2001 the five-piece rock act committed Hombre Sintetizador to tape with producers Peter Reardon, José Antonio Farías, and Antonio Hernández, after which the track "Abre los Ojos" received rotation on major radio stations.
