Tontxu

Tontxu, born J. Antonio Ipiña, first entered music by writing a song at age 11 and later served as a programmer and announcer at a radio station. His relocation to Madrid allowed him to perform across the local club circuit, which resulted in his debut album Se Vende appearing in 1997. Javier Monforte and Gonzalo Benavides handled production duties on that project. Corazón de Mudanza arrived the following year in 1998. Guided by Cuban nueva trova and leading Spanish songwriters, Tontxu released Con Un Canto En Los Dientes in 2000 and recorded Tontxu Básico in 2001.
