Biography
Emerging as a nu-boy band, Varsity Fanclub crafts dance-oriented pop and R&B, drawing inspiration from genre legends including Boyz II Men, the Jackson 5, and Backstreet Boys. The ensemble came together circa 2006 following an intensive audition selection, showcasing the abilities of vocalist/dancers Thomas Fiss, Jayk Purdy, Drew Ryan Scott, Bobby Edner, and David Lei Brandt. Several songs have been uploaded by the collective to their MySpace profile, among them the initial single "Future Love," composed by Ryan Tedder. A first album from Varsity Fanclub is expected to come out during 2009.
