Voces Del Rancho

Born in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mariano Fernandez teamed with Guadalajara native Edgar Rodriguez to establish the Mexican traditional music duo Voces del Rancho after the pair first connected as students at Bell's High School in California. Once signed to the Los Angeles imprint Cintas Acuario, the act secured steady rotation on Latin stations and soon registered chart traction via the singles "Se Les Pelo Baltazar" and "Los Dos Amigos." Mounting success paved the way for a Sony Discos agreement that yielded the album Mas Fuerte Que Nunca. Voces del Rancho received a 2001 Lo Nuestro nomination for Revelation of the Year in the Regional/Mexican division.
