Biography
Westfield Massacre, a vigorous heavy metal outfit based in Los Angeles, California, fuse European-style shredding with alternating clean and harsh vocals alongside surging melodic passages. Drawing from an eclectic palette of inspirations such as Metallica, Dream Theater, and Killswitch Engage alongside classical figures including Richard Wagner, W.A. Mozart, and J.S. Bach, the group coalesced in 2015 with ex-Divine Heresy frontman Tommy Vext (Snot, Bad Wolves) joined by Stephen Brewer on guitar, Erik Tisinger on bass, and Dio Britto on drums. The quartet tracked its self-titled first album at Echelon Studios under producer Joseph McQueen before issuing the set in 2016 on Urban Yeti Records. Vext departed the following year, making way for Seann Nicols (Adler’s Appetite), whose first recorded appearance with the band arrived on the 2018 release Salvation.
