Biography
Los Angeles outfit Zero Theorem made their entrance in 2018 via the EP Ataraxis, merging a severe mix of alternative hard rock and heavy metal with an engaging science fiction visual and thematic approach.
The group originated from a transcontinental partnership between relatives Caesar and Joe Scarlotti, based in Chicago and Los Angeles in that order. Once Caesar moved to L.A. during 2017, the duo brought in guitarist Max Georgiev, bassist Eloy Palacios, and drummer Jake Hayden to lay down initial tracks drawing influence from acts such as Disturbed, Tool, and Five Finger Death Punch. Producer Kane Churko assisted the fresh ensemble Zero Theorem in transforming the rough ideas into polished studio tracks, culminating in the launch of their first EP, Ataraxis, during 2018. The next twelve months saw them touring extensively, both leading their independent club shows and supporting artists including Nonpoint and Hyro the Hero, before unveiling their follow-up EP, The Killing, at the start of 2020, while preparing The Killing II for release before the year's end.
