Established in Minneapolis during 2002 by vocalist Jeff Stebbins, 3 Pill Morning crafts a hard-hitting rock style infused with catchy hooks and melodic elements, blending Chevelle's raw edge alongside Shinedown's refined approach. Their initial releases leaned closer to the rap-infused aggression of P.O.D. and Papa Roach, as heard in the downtuned guitar work and vocal deliveries on 2003's The Product EP along with the 2004 follow-up Clarity. Following the 2006 issuance of Life Dynamic, the group pivoted toward an exclusively modern rock direction. This shift yielded their debut full-length album, The Side Effects of Chronic Ambition, in 2008 under the refreshed lineup, highlighted by the driving single "Nothing's Real" that marked a definitive break from earlier rap-rock influences. Stebbins and his collaborators then prepared material for the Take Control EP in 2011, with several tracks later appearing on the second album Black Tie Love Affair via Page 2 Music/eOne. That 2012 release climbed to position 62 on the Billboard Heatseekers listing and incorporated numbers such as the title song, "Loser," "Drive by Lies," plus the track "Skin." Building on this achievement and ongoing live performances, the ensemble headed back into recording sessions. By 2016, with Jon Stephenson handling guitar duties, Ryan "Riplee" Lee on bass, and Tom Dupree III behind the drums, they unveiled Never Look Back through The Fuel Music/Countdown Entertainment. This collection represented their most intense material yet, supported through fan contributions via PledgeMusic, and spotlighted the songs "Electric Chair" and "Bottom of the Barrel."
