Biography
Los Angeles-based electronic pop duo Bonnie x Clyde blends upbeat dance grooves through the combined efforts of DJ and producer Daniel Litman alongside vocalist Paige Lopynski. The pair first drew broad notice after surfacing in 2015 via their track “Bass Jam.”
Both originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Lopynski and Litman formed a friendship as teenagers, with her participating in the school choir and him spinning records at local gatherings. Following graduation they maintained contact, she enrolling at Virginia Tech while he began studies at Ithaca College before transferring after one year to the University of Miami. During their final undergraduate semesters the two started collaborating remotely over Skype, then rejoined in Miami once degrees were completed. In that city they formed Bonnie x Clyde, putting out several self-released singles and performing at area events. Momentum built after a prominent slot at the Life in Color festival in Miami and a run of dates supporting Skrillex. One year afterward they joined Interscope Records and issued their first EP, Wanted, whose track “Bass Jam” gained online traction and reached the top of Sirius XM’s BPM Breaker chart. Additional performances ensued at Crush L.A., EDC Japan, EDC Las Vegas, and Sun City Music Festival. Their follow-up EP, While We’re Young, appeared in 2018.
