Biography
Having journeyed from Philadelphia to Los Angeles, R&B-influenced pop vocalist Brianna Mazzola listed actress, dancer, pianist, and singer/songwriter among her accomplishments before turning 18. Active on stage from early childhood, a chain of chance opportunities placed her in the ensemble of Disney's Club Mickey Mouse. After drawing notice from L.A. Reid, she joined his HITCO imprint and issued her first official project, the 2019 release Brianna Mazzola.
Born in Philadelphia in 2000, Mazzola began her artistic journey at age three. Vocal lessons started by the time she reached five. In 2010 she posted her initial online covers, beginning with a version of "Over the Rainbow." She progressed to local live shows and parts in theatrical productions, then put out her debut collection, Taking Off, in 2013. That short set of contemporary country tracks differed from the pop direction she later pursued and was set aside for a new approach. After moving to Los Angeles with her family, she tried out for the singing competition The Voice. Though eliminated at the audition stage, she attracted Disney's interest and was selected for the revived Mouseketeer lineup in the rebranded Club Mickey Mouse. The resulting visibility led to further attention from L.A. Reid, who promptly added her to the HITCO roster. Her opening output on the label appeared in 2019 as the three-track EP Brianna Mazzola.
