Biography
Emerging from Minneapolis, the pop-infused hard rock and alternative outfit City of the Weak cultivated a loyal grassroots audience by maintaining a rigorous touring pace alongside precisely assembled independent recordings, among them the 2013 EP White Fire Alarm and the 2018 album Pulling Teeth.
Vocalist Stef w/ an F and guitarist Brent Lindblad established the band in 2012, after which it cycled through several configurations during its initial span while issuing the self-released EPs White Fire Alarm (2013) and Disclosure (2014) and sustaining an intensive road schedule. Festival slots at South by Southwest, Chicago Open Air, Northern Invasion, and the Vans Warped Tour raised the group’s profile, prompting further refinement of its forceful yet melodic material; this process yielded the 2016 single “Censor This” and the follow-up “Ungrateful” a year later, both of which were included on the band’s debut full-length Pulling Teeth upon its June 2018 release.
