Having launched an eyewear company while still teenagers, the sister act Coco & Breezy channel their particular aesthetic through dancefloor tracks that fuse their Afro-Latina roots with contemporary club textures, evident on the 2023 Zak Leever track “There Is a Light.”

Born in 1990 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, identical twins Corianna and Brianna Dotson grew up in a household where music was shared during family meals and gatherings. By 2009 the pair had converted their retail and design experience into a signature line of designer eyeglasses whose distinctive look caught on rapidly, appearing on Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Osbourne, and, most prominently, Prince, who wore their custom “Tres” frames on album artwork and during concerts in the period leading up to his death.

Once the label had secured partnerships with Adidas and Nordstrom, the sisters began working as DJs and soon moved into original productions. Following the solo releases “Differences” in 2018 and “Convo” in 2020, Coco & Breezy joined Dawn Richard on 2020’s “U,” Tara Carosielli on 2022’s “Just Say,” and Sam White on 2023’s “Off My Mind.” They also supplied remixes for Shontelle’s “Impossible” in 2021 and Janelle Monae’s “Float” in 2023, then broadened their live presence with a club tour the next year.
