Biography
Dakota Bradley, a country singer and songwriter, spent his childhood in St. Louis, where sports initially held his strongest interest until the guitar entered his life at age twelve and redirected everything. He soon expanded his skills to include bass, piano, and drums alongside guitar. Hard rock and metal dominated his early focus, leading him to assemble a band by eighth grade that delivered covers of Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Aerosmith, the Black Crowes, and similar acts. His family relocated to Nashville during his early teens, where the themes and spirit of country music quickly captured his attention. By sixteen he had secured a Nashville manager and uploaded a song video to YouTube that caught the eye of producers for Ellen DeGeneres' television program, resulting in an invitation to perform before her audience. Still under eighteen, Bradley drew interest from Byron Gallimore, Tim McGraw's producer, who placed him on the new Steamsounds Records imprint. The infectious debut single "Somethin' Like Somethin'," co-written with Mark Irwin, Josh Kear, and Shane McAnally and produced by McGraw and Gallimore, surfaced in spring 2013.
