Biography
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, country singer and songwriter Austin Webb immersed himself from an early age in the classic recordings of country, Motown, rock, and R&B. Beginning to compose poetry by nine years old, he harbored ambitions of becoming a writer until receiving a guitar at sixteen, after which songwriting consumed his focus. Relocating to Atlanta, he performed regularly along the eastern seaboard and issued two independent albums early in his career: Written Photography in 2007 and Holy Smoke in 2010. Securing victory in a Greenville songwriting competition prompted Webb to pursue opportunities in Nashville, where he settled in 2011. When a demo featuring his material reached producer Byron Gallimore, the latter extended a publishing and recording agreement through Streamsound Records, the label co-owned by Gallimore and Jim Wilkes, leading immediately to studio sessions. His first single, "It's All Good," appeared toward the close of 2012.
