Biography
Formed during 2005 in St. Augustine, Florida, Dark Castle unites vocalist and guitarist Stevie Floyd with vocalist and drummer Rob Shaffer. The pair introduced their hypnotic brand of doom/death/psych through the 2007 demo Flight of the Pegasus. Repeated road work alongside Rwake, Torche, and Black Cobra eventually drew label interest from At a Loss Recordings, which issued the duo’s first album, Spirited Migration, in May 2009. Bandmember Floyd, a reputed tattoo artist, supplied the cover artwork.
